CAFE ROUGE CAMBRIDGE, BREAKFAST. This morning we called in for a vegetarian breakfast, I had the Rouge vegetarian poached eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach avocado, baked beans & toast with butter. Ann’s choice was pancakes with fresh fruit. Drinks were tap water with ice and lemon. Saturday 7th December 2019.

Make granola mix. In this video I show you how simple it is to make your own granola mix, this was the first time I had done this and the results tasted and looked good. I have enjoyed this for breakfast with cool oat milk and was surprised how little I needed to fuel me unto lunch time.
If you visit Cornwall and are near Lands End I recommend this establishment for a vegetarian breakfast – St. Just, Cornwall, Kegen Teg, cafe,probably one of the best breakfasts you could have. Friday 1st June 2018. Tomatoes & mushrooms on granary toast.
Interesting coffee, tea and water
While out ordering a coffee at a small coffee house overlooking the bay at Porthleven in Cornwall, I realised as well as a desire for caffeine delivered through good coffee, I needed rehydrating. I requested a glass of tap water with my coffee and was directed to a small shelf upon which sat a large glass jar with a tap and told to help myself.
I filled two glasses and while Ann and me were sitting admiring the view, waiting for our hot beverages, we began supping the water we remarked in unison how unusual but pleasant
it tasted. I asked the lady who was busy preparing our drinks what was in the water, she said she adds mint leaves, slices of lime and grapefruit. This certainly does give the water an interesting taste, much different than just adding a slice of lemon.
The next surprise was our coffee and tea. My coffee was served in a mug without a handle on a matching saucer and tasted really good with the oat milk I had requested. Ann’s tea was presented in a clear glass flask showing off the golden brown clear liquid, so different to a conventional teapot. The tea also met with her approval, as she is as much a critic of tea as I am of coffee.
This was a most interesting minimum morning breakfast, good coffee and tea and water.
Here is how you can put this very interesting flavoured water together at home:
Take a large glass jug and fill with fresh drawn tap water, or you can use bottled water if prefered.
Cut half a lime into thin slices
Cut quarter of a red grapefruit into slices
Pick five mint leaves
Put the above in the water stir and let it stand for an hour for the flavours to diffuse into the water.
I think best left at room temperature to allow the flavours to come through, you can add ice to cool once poured into a glass.
Enjoy your new way of drinking water.

High Power, high protein chocolate smoothie.
This high power, high protein breakfast smoothie consists of just four items, and tastes really great, especially if you are a chocolate lover like my son, who always have this after he has been for an early morning run. This re energises him and keeps him going until lunch.
Peel and cut up 2 bananas that you have put in the freezer the previous night.
Take 2 tablespoons of Caocao powder (Raw cacao powder is made by cold-pressing unroasted cocoa beans, this process retains the living enzymes and removes the fat (cacao butter). … Cacao is thought to be the highest source of antioxidants of all foods and the highest source of magnesium of all foods.)
Take 2 tablespoons of Just Peanut butter .
One cup of cold Almond or Oat milk.
Put all in a blender & blend away until nice and smooth.
This is best if you drink straight away, but will keep in the fridge for a day.
Drink and enjoy.
Today we had a Light Vegetarian Breakfast @ The House Café, St Benedict’s Street Norwich. Brown bread toasted with marmalade, toasted teacake, glass of cold Fanta & cup of tea.
